From the Principal’s Office
Wow, when did summer sneak up on us? It’s so exciting to begin this fun-filled season and have so many great events to look forward to throughout the summer. I hope that all of you have an adventurous, but safe summer filled with lasting memories!
No Outside Food Please
Please remember we cannot have outside food brought into our school. If your child has a snack in the car on the way to school please have them either finish the snack before coming in or leave the food in the car. Thank you!
Father’s Day Frenzy
We will be celebrating Father’s Day on Friday, June 14th from 3:30-4:00. There will be fun games and tasty treats for the Intermediate, Pre-K and School Age students to enjoy with their dads and/or a special someone.
Safe Footwear
Please keep in mind that the safest shoes for children to wear at school are tennis shoes. Sandals, open-toe and slick-soled shoes may not be worn to school. This policy is stated in our Parent Handbook under the Personal Belongings/Clothing section. With summer coming please do not allow children to wear flip-flops or open-toed sandals to school. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but our main objective is to protect the children.
Water Play Days!
It’s that time again! We will be starting our Water Play Days the week of June 10th. If you have not already done so please be sure to turn in your child’s permission slip as soon as possible. During Water Play Days the children will spend the morning on the splash pad playing in our wading pools, running through the sprinklers, splashing in the water tables (and hopefully soaking their teachers!!!) It’s a ton of fun for everyone! The schedule is as follows:
Tuesday – Intermediate
Wednesday – Beginner
Thursday – Pre-K
Friday – Toddler Two
When it is your child’s designated Water Play Day please bring them to school dressed in their swimwear. All children need to have water shoes in order to participate in Water Play Day. Be sure to apply sunscreen at home before coming to school on Water Play Days. Also, please send a change of clothes and a towel in a water resistant bag so that at the completion of water play we can get your child in dry clothes and place the wet ones in the bag. If the weather is not cooperating on your child’s water play day still send them in their swimwear, we will try to go out if the weather breaks and if it doesn’t then we will have a beach party in the classroom! This is one of our favorite summer time activities! I’m sure that everyone will have a wonderful time playing in the water!
We Appreciate the Appreciation!
Thank you to everyone for the wonderful Teacher Appreciation Week that you help to make so very special for the entire staff! The teacher break room was filled with yummy treats and the teachers loved being surprised with the gift cards throughout the week. It means so much to have your support and we couldn’t do it without you!
Reminders
* Don’t forget to check your child’s cubby each day for important information from their teachers and the office.
* Parking Lot Safety – Remember to drive slowly and cautiously through our parking lots. There are several small children and their families in the parking lot throughout the day and we want to be sure that everyone is safe! In addition, please so not leave children in the car unattended. It is also important that you do not leave your car running while in our school.
