From the Principal’s Office
Wow, I cannot believe it is already summer! It’s so exciting to begin this fun-filled season and have so many great events to look forward to throughout the summer. I hope that all of you have a wonderful summer, filled with tons of lasting memories!
Father’s Day Frenzy
We will be celebrating Father’s Day on Thursday, June 15th from 3:30-4:30 pm. There will be fun games and tasty treats for the Intermediate and Pre-K students to enjoy with their dads. Water activities are always a possibility so come prepared to get wet!
Safe Footwear
Please keep in mind that the safest shoes for children to wear at school are tennis shoes. Sandals, open-toe and slick-soled shoes may not be worn to school. This policy is stated in our Parent Handbook under the Personal Belongings/Clothing section. With summer coming please do not allow children to wear flip-flops or open-toed sandals to school. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but our main objective is to protect the children.
Water Play Days!
It’s that time again! We will be starting our Water Play Days on Monday, June 5th. During Water Play Days the children will spend the morning on the splash pad playing in our wading pools, running through the sprinklers, splashing in the water tables (and hopefully soaking their teachers!!!) It’s a ton of fun for everyone! The schedule is as follows:
Monday – Beginner Class
Tuesday – Toddler 2 Class
Wednesday – Pre-K A Class (Miss Jamie & Miss Lela)
Thursday – Intermediate Class
Friday – Pre-K B Class (Miss Phyllis)
When it is your child’s designated Water Play Day please bring them to school dressed in their swimwear. All children need to have water shoes in order to participate in Water Play Day. Be sure to apply sunscreen at home before coming to school on Water Play Days. Also, please send a change of clothes and a towel in a water resistant bag so that at the completion of water play we can get your child in dry clothes and place the wet ones in the bag. If the weather is not cooperating on your child’s water play day still send them in their swimwear, we will try to go out if the weather breaks and if it doesn’t then we will have a beach party in the classroom! This is one of our favorite summer time activities! I’m sure that everyone will have a wonderful time playing in the water!
Sign In & Out PINS
Please make sure you are signing your child(ren) in and out every day! Sign In should be happening as you walk into the building, BEFORE you drop off in the classroom. Sign Out should be happening AFTER you pick up your child(ren) from the classroom, as you are leaving the building. This is very important!
Also, remember if anyone other than mom or dad is picking up, they need to have a written pick up authorization on file and we will need to set up a PIN number for them as well. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!
Reminders
* Don’t forget to check your child’s cubby each day for important information from their teachers and the office.
* Please make sure that you are signing your child in every morning and out every evening.
* Parking Lot Safety – Remember to drive slowly and cautiously through our parking lots. There are several small children and their families in the parking lot throughout the day and we want to be sure that everyone is safe! In addition, please so not leave children in the car unattended. It is also important that you do not leave your car running while in our school.
* Tuition Due – Tuition will be due on June 5th and June 19th. Please make sure that your account is current with the tuition cycle. There will be a $25 late fee assessed to all payments made after Tuesday at noon on the week that tuition is due. If you are interested in our automatic withdrawal program please stop by the office to pick up an authorization form.
